Arriving with a British expedition in Virginia in 1607, Capt. John Smith (Colin Farrell) is captured by Native Americans. His life is spared thanks to Pocahontas (Q'orianka Kilcher), daughter of the tribe's chief. Smith and Pocahontas fall in love, to the mutual dismay of the Native Americans and the British. Smith is sent away, and his death is reported. An unhappy Pocahontas marries settler John Rolfe (Christian Bale). When Smith turns up alive, Pocahontas is torn between the two men.

É incrível como a DC Filmes caiu do pódio da qualidade, desde o Cavaleiro das Trevas. Há um filme interessante debaixo do entulho, acerca do esforço conjunto de diferentes personalidades e a ressurreição de um herói caído. Mas este é um filme que foi sacrificado pelas restrições do tempo, o ritmo frenético, a piadola fácil, no forçar de uma formula que resultou numa copia atabalhoada da concorrência ( Marvel ). Múltiplos factores que impediram a narrativa deste filme de respirar, estupidificando os propósitos dos diferentes personagens, como se a direcção do filme fosse cozinhada por demasiadas mãos, impedindo que o fio narrativo fluísse naturalmente; resultando numa confusa amalgama que destoa de cena para cena. E sim, os efeitos CGI são fraquinhos. E é impossível não perguntar se os "reshoots" valeram a pena. Se os recursos não teriam sido melhor aproveitados a polir os aspectos técnicos deste filme, do que esbanjar tempo e dinheiro a esguichar a idílica poçâo ma

It's amazing, how  DC Movies  fell from the altar of standards, since the  Dark Knight. There is an interesting movie under the rubble, on the joint effort of different personalities and the resurrection of a fallen hero. But this is a film, which has been sacrificed for the constraints of time, the frenetic pace, the easy joke, the forced copy of the competition formula. Factors that prevented the narrative from this film to breathe, stupefying the purposes of the different characters, as if the "story" was cooked by too many hands, preventing it from flowing naturally. And yes, the CGI effects are undercooked too often. And one has to wonder whether the reshoots were worth it. If the resources, would not have been better used to polish the technical aspects of this film, than to pursue the magic sauce of levity. We will never know, without basis for comparison.
