Much has been said about the growing quality of TV series; a format that has surpassed the cinema in the quality of the stories told, either by the density of the characters or the total immersiveness in which the viewer lives these narratives. The Terror, is a good example of this. Hardly in the horror genre, we will be able to find on any screen something similar at this level of quality, in production value or in execution. The spectator becomes the passenger in a story that will make us suffer with each death, the simplest sigh of anguish, and question where reality ends and delirium begins. As séries da Netflix são conhecidas pela sua apresentação gráfica de violência e nudez. Mas em Lost in space, a produção aposta claramente no seguro, com o objectivo de atingir um público novo e mais jovem com uma formula mais amiga das famílias. E isto não é necessariamente ruim, longe disso e honestamente esta série não sofre por isso, os momentos de drama, aventura e ação são bem conseguidos. Altered Carbon is an immersive experience that must be experienced by fans of this genre. This show paints a society in which technology has freed man from his own mortality and from the bonds that bind us to this planet. An impressive illustration of a post-eternity, post-corporeal, post-race, post-god society. Doing a good job demonstrating the inherent complexities of a super-capitalist system that privatized immortality and the road to the stars. Needless to mention that the world building is fantastic, the production values are high, and each still is a feast for the eyes. But not everything is perfect, some mid-season episodes are slow, some post-identitary themes, nudity and gratuitous violence should displease puritans of all political sensibilities.
